Born Navan, County Meath, Ireland in March 1883; worked in Durban, South Africa; served with the 2nd Battalion, Durban Light Infantry; served with the Western Province Mounted Rifles in the ABW 1899-1902. Emigrated to Australia; employed by the NSW Railways; enlisted 1 May 1916; embarked for Europe 9 September1916; served as a signaller with the 18th Battalion in France & Belgium. Commemorated on Durban Corporation WW1 Memorial. Commemorated on Navan War Memorial. Commemorated on New South Wales Railway Station Memorial.
