Educated Berea Road Primary; Durban High School 1927 - 1930; Natal University College - B.Sc. Eng. 1935. His twin brother also died on service. Commemorated on Durban High School; the Natal University College; St. Olav's Lutheran Church, Durban; the Zululand, (Eshowe) & the Durban Cenotaph WWII Memorials.
