Son of Mr. R. and Mrs. J. A. Hunter, of Kimberley Road, Bertrams, Johannesburg. Riflemen Hunter and Bosch were on guard duty at a small base near Eenhana and Elundu, when their position was overrun by SWAPO. In the same incident, Sapper van der Mescht was captured and taken to Angola.
