Son of Elijah and Selina Songca, of Engcobo. ref. SAMR medal roll. POW 26 September 1914. Songca is a well known surname from the Eastern Cape region, he came from the Lady Frere area, Eastern Cape. The original name typed on the medal roll is Songca.
