 Killed in action. On the 14th October, the B Coy took The Pimple and a considerable part of the German communication trench. The B Coy was relieved by the A Coy in the night of the 15-16th October. The casualties of the 3rd S.A.I. amounted to 38 men.

Son of James Edward and Margaret (nee Davidson) Medlicott. Brother of Helen Medlicott, of London, England. Born Dunmurry County Kildare, Ireland. Employed with Chamber of Mines. Served with the Natal Mounted Police in the Bambatha Rebellion 1906. Served in GSWA 1914-1915. Commemorated on the Dundee and District WWI Memorial & on marble plaque in St. Brigid's Cathedral, County Kildare, Ireland. His brother Captain Richard Medlicott OBE was taken POW at Delville Wood on 19 July 1916
