Killed in action, Cecil and his brother Childrick had met by accident in Italy on the day he died, walked over a bridge to meet Childrick and after a few minutes he walked back to catch up with his regiment and stepped on a mine, and was killed. His brother unfortunately watched the accident from the side of the bridge he was on. |
