LG Sup 5 July 1918 - "For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty. Whilst in command of his platoon he was responsible for getting in touch with the battalion on the flank. The situation being obscure, he took out a patrol, ascertained the position of the enemy, and also the exact position of the battalion on the flank. The information which he obtained was of the greatest value at a critical stage of the operations." |
