Information:
Son of Charles and Aimee Susanna Digby-Jones. Husband of Lilian "Lily" Christine Digby-Jones (nee Leggett). Was a mining engineer by profession, who had trained at the Royal College of Science and had been attached to the N W Survey, Canada, before he joined the Society in April 1901. In the decade prior to the outbreak of the First World War, Jones was employed by the Jumbo Gold-Mining Company Ltd, Rhodesia. His brother Lieut. Robert James Thomas Digby Jones R.E., V.C. also died in service 6 January 1900 at Ladysmith. ref. South African Roll of Honour 1914-1918
