Husband of Mrs. E. L. Dawson, of Clifford Derme, Newent, Gloucestershire, England. Commanding Officer of the 1st SAI. Promoted to temporary Brigadier-General in December 1916, he took the command of the Brigade. In May 1917, he was appointed as additional ADC to HM King George V. Captured at Marrieres Wood on the 24th March 1918. Died in East Africa. DSO LG Sup 3 June 1918 pg 6462 - "King's Birthday".
