Information:
Son of the late Hon. Mr. Justice Sydney Twentyman Jones and of Mrs. F. H. Jones, of Baroda, Cape Province, South Africa. Born 7/6/1891. Educated at St. Andrew's College, Grahamstown. At St Andrew's from Jan. 1902-Aug. 1905. Joined Imperial Light Horse when war broke out. Served in the Rebellion and G.S.W.A. Went to England, joined a cadet school and was commissioned to the Royal Field Artillery. Served in France through heavy fighting in 1917 and was killed in action in April 1918 during the great German offensive. Commemoration stone in Cape Town (MAITLAND) Cemetery. His brother S D S Jones also died on service
