Died of wounds, received near Menastir. A patrol from "C" Coy encountered the enemy and in the subsequent skirmish, he was wounded. Although an attempt was made to carry him back, he was in great pain and asked to be left where he was. He died the same day and was buried by the enemy. The grave was discovered by the Allies on 5 January 1942 in Bardia |
