Died in explosion, at the Barracks of the Youth Training Brigade at Roberts Heights. 3 members were using a bayonet and a screwdriver in an attempt to dismantle a 2 inch mortar shell that they found in rubble from the explosion of the Grand Magazine, which was being used for earth works at Roberts Heights.
