Information:
Son of Edward K. and Barbara Kuys, of De Coligni, London Rd., Sea Point, Cape Province. Death plaque sold on bidorbuy for 670 Rand 14-May-2007. Born in Cape Town, South Africa, attested on 31st March 1916 to the 2nd SAI Brigade Depot. In July he was transferred to "C" company 8th South African Infantry and eight days later during action, he received a G.S.W to the spine and was admitted to hospital in Dar Es Salaam, where he was described as dangerously ill. Kuys was transferred to H.M.S Oxfordshire, but died and was buried at sea
