Son of John Joseph Keeve and Rosina Alberta (nee Terblanche) Griffiths, of Ladybrand, Orange Free State. Charles John Claudius Griffiths served as Captain and Adjutant in "C" Company, 5th Regt. S.A.I. He transferred to the 3rd SAI 14 August 1917 and then to 1st SAI March 1918.
