Son of H. E. O. and Anne Green, of Kimberley, South Africa. born 8/1/1887. Educated at St. Andrew's College, Grahamstown from 1898-1901. Served through G.S.W.A. campaign with 1st I.L.H. and later with Pretoria Regiment. Held commission as Lieutenant in 5th Battalion, Middlesex Regiment. Commemoration stone in Johannesburg (Braamfontein) Cemetery
