 Died in Aircraft Accident, Cessna 185A #728, near Coligny. He was busy with a tactical exercise as part of "Exercise Musslebreak" and patrolling the Ventersdorp-Coligney Road in a westerly direction. One mile past Bodenstein, he gained height and then crashed
