 Died of renal failure and associated complications, in Bloemfontein National Hospital. The Board of Enquiry stated that this was as a result of injuries received in a punishment (or "Takkie Parade") received on 9 January. He was initially treated at 3 Mil Hospital and later transferred to the National Hospital
