 Died in Aircraft Accident, Atlas Cheetah C #358, crashed at AFB Louis Trichardt in the Northern Province. Made no distress call and did not eject. Apparently the aircraft was on finals for landing when it flipped over on its back and crashed

Husband of Mrs. Corrie A. Koster. He was on a routine test flight. He was one of the squadron's aerobatic pilots and had taken part in various air shows. Capt. Koster would have left the SAAF in mid-December to take a flying job in the private sector. Survived by his wife Corrie (30) and daughter Aniska (1). He had been in the SAAF for 12 years, the last 4 years at 2 Squadron. ref. 85 years of SAAF.
