Additional Information
Son of Sydney S. and Jacomina A. Saayman, of Villiers, Orange Free State. Born in Albertina, Cape Province. A bank clerk for Barclays Bank in Vryburg. He was unmarried. There appears to be some confusion over his date of death as the War Diary records his death in the initial attack on the 16th at 1550. The death date on the Burial Return appears to have been altered to match the burial date.
