LG Sup 2 December 1918 pg. 14251 - "For conspicuous gallantry and good leadership in an attack. He skilfully led his platoon to the objective, and assisted in reorganising the company and consolidating the position. Though wounded during this advance, later he again led his men forward, and captured the objective under heavy fire. He set a splendid example of coolness to his men."
