Son of Daniel Brink and Elizabeth Francis Menne; husband of Mary Maud (nee Handley) Menne, of Empangeni, Natal, South Africa. Educated at Hilton College, Natal. Served in WW1. His brother also died on service. Commemoration stone in Umvoti District, Greytown, Sophiadale 1360, Menneheim Farm cemetery
