Information:
Son of Henry Alexander Grant and Mary Jane Jackson Grant, of Carron House, Carron, Morayshire. Born North College, Elgin, Morayshire, Scotland. Educated at Tonbridge School in Kent from 1897 to 1899, where he was a boarder in Park House. A prospector. Served with Cape Mounted Rifles during the Second Boer War, being awarded the Queen's South Africa medal, with clasps for Cape Colony, South Africa 1901 and South Africa 1902. Commemorated on the Morayshire Roll of Honour.
