Brother of Mr. G. H. Dickson, of Bredasdorp, Cape Province, South Africa. A Scottish rugby international, who also represented Scotland at cricket. He played seven rugby Tests for his adopted country in 1912-13. He had come to Britain as a Rhodes Scholar then when war broke out he signed up with the Argyle and Sutherland Highlanders. ref.
