Son of Mrs. E. M. Crowe, of Silverhill, Kenilworth, Cape Town, South Africa. Husband of Mrs. Sybil Crowe, of 76 Leith Mansions, Maida Vale, London. He was educated at Malvern College (Christmas 1899 to Lent 1905) and at Jesus College, Cambridge (entered 1905; B.A. 1909).
