LG Sup 13 May 1918 pg. 5697 - "For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty. During a raid on an enemy trench he led his men with great dash to the objective. On the seeing the enemy charging left flank party, he altered his plans and succeeded in cutting off the hostile post from the rear. He personally accounted for six of the enemy, and, with an NCO, secured a prisoner. Thanks to his coolness and resource, the whole of the hostile garrison was put out of action." |
