LG Sup 27 July 1943 - "Flying Officer Fortune has been continuously engaged on operational flying since 1940, including operations in Greece, Syria and Libya. During the present campaign in Libya, he has completed some 58 reconnaissances of a tactical and photographic nature. He has performed excellent work which has often been highly praised. He has always shown the greatest devotion to duty. During the past two months Flying Officer Fortune has undertaken 15 operational sorties, often in the face of enemy opposition." |
