Killed in action, gunshot wound in a contact in the Bangala Tribal Trust Lands, Victoria District, in a High Density operation with elements of 6RR, three sticks were flown in by helicopter, and in an ensuing contact, Steve were shot and killed

Information:
Son of Derek and Joan Seymour, of Jersey, Channel Islands. Stephen came from a Jersey family that owned Hotels on the island. He was in Junior Para in the UK, but decided to travel to Rhodesia and joined up. He made selection for the SAS and was part of C Sqn. From Jersey, Channel Islands. ref.
