Information:
Son of Lionel Desmond and Julia Ann Baker. Had two sisters, Sherril and Lorraine. Born Umtali, Manicaland, Southern Rhodesia. Educated at Guinea Fowl School near Gwelo. Employed with a tobacco company in Salisbury after leaving school. He did his national service with the Rhodesian Army and a few months after completing this joined BSA Police April 1974. ref.
