Cause of Death:
 Killed in action, while searching a Kraal in Northern Owamboland. The patrol entered a Kraal during a search for suspected insurgents while he remained on the Buffel Troop Carrier acting as the Gunner. An insurgent that was hiding in one of the huts fired an RPG-7 at the vehicle and the PG-7 Anti-Tank Rocket exploded at the position where he was standing, killing him instantly.
