Information:
Son of Arthur and Grace Maw, of Severn House, Iron Bridge. During the Anglo Boer War, Maw served with the Imperial Light Horse (133) and had the rank of Corporal. He fought in the battle of Elandslaagte before being invested in Ladysmith. During the siege, the ILH took part in many battles and skirmishes. After the siege was lifted, Maw continued to fight until the end of the war in 1902.
