LG Sup 13 August 1942 - "On 28 May 1942 South East of Knightsbridge while his Troop Leader was investigating an enemy column Tpr Wright together with Tpr Basset-Evans, attacked and enemy semi-tracked Armoured Troop Carrier and a gun truck while under intense shell fire. With great courage and determination he destroyed the Troop Carrier and captured the crew, enabling his Troop Leader to obtain the required information of the enemy column."
