He was first commissioned Unatt. 2-Lt. 17/12/19. I.A. 2-Lt. 2/5/20. Lt. 17/12/20. Capt. 17/12/26. Maj. 17/12/37. Staff Capt. 25/2/37 to 31/7/39. Brig. Maj. 1/8/39. His India General Service 1908-35, 2 clasps, Waziristan 1919-21, North West Frontier 1930-31 (Lieut. S. H. J. Woulfe-Flanagan, 2-15 Sikhs), 2nd clasp loose was sold for 120 pounds at Dix Noonan and Webb on 21st September 2007
