Information:
Son of J. H. W. Williams (Postmaster), of Kimberley, South Africa. Educated at St. Andrew's College, Grahamstown. Born 21/8/1892. At St Andrew's from 1908-1909. Joined 1st Kimberley Regiment when war broke out and served in G.S.W.A. campaign. Went overseas and passed out 4th of 140 in the O.T.C. Commissioned in the 7th London Regiment early in 1917. Became intelligence officer for the regiment. Reported missing 1st September 1918 and subsequently killed in action.
