Died in Aircraft Accident, Hampden I X2921, aircraft took off from Waddington at 21.15, it was caryying a mine that was to be dropped in Kiel Bay, Germany - a mission known as "gardening". It crashed just 2 minutes later after failing to gain height. The mine and fuel tanks exploded on impact killing all 4 people on board |

Son of Harold and Maud Watt, of Bulawayo, Southern Rhodesia. His watch was found by someone doing some metal detecting at the crash site in 2007. |
