His means of identification were: G. S. Uniform and buttons, collar badges, 2 stars on epaulette, Officer's boots, 2 pieces of Water Proof sheet stenciled 2 SAI 0230, marked R. D--, 46--, knife marked ---, spoon marked W. H. P. This man is likely Walter James Hill (Thiepval Memorial)
