Killed in action, in Catalina I W8421:QL-Y. Took off Koggala, 0256. At 0716 reported the position and speed of a large enemy force, but before his message was completed, was shot down by two A6Ms, which had taken off from 'Hiryu' at 0600, flown by NAP 1/C Hino and NA 1/C Kotani. |
