Died in Aircraft Accident, Oxford I P1881, while on a test flight the aircraft began to break up starting with the elevator detaching from the aircraft. This resulted in a loss of control and the aircraft hitting the ground. W Cdr. F K Damant and passenger LAC AN Pearse were both killed in the incident
