Died of wounds, at 11:40 a.m. Oosthuizen with his Lieutenant and another soldier was sent to investigate the anti-personnel mines that had been placed by the South Africans themselves. The patrol accidentally detonated one and he was wounded. The Lieutenant was killed instantly. The event took place at the Medici Villa dell'Ambrogiana near the Arno river, which was then the seat of a psychiatric hospital |
