Cause of Death: |
Died in Aircraft Accident, Dakota III #FD866, aircraft was being flown on a routine courier sortie but after being airborne for 2.5 hrs it was some distance off track. It was climbing through cloud when it struck the side of a mountain at a height of 5,200 feet. The Board of Enquiry commented that the radio aids were not used to assist navigation but that the pilot, who had flown over 100 hrs in the previous month was probably fatigued. |
