Cause of Death:
Killed in action, North Atlantic, west of Ireland - torpedoed once by German "U-38". Q-ship "Warner" ("Q-27", cargo ship, 1, 300grt, 1911) was on an eastward course as a tempting U-boat target. She was torpedoed around 09.00hrs, going down in five minutes. Some of her survivors were picked up by British submarine "D.3"
