LG Sup 26 May 1917 - "For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty. When a party was held up by uncut wire he went forward and almost succeeded in getting through the wire, when he was severely wounded. Notwithstanding this, he managed to struggle through, when he was again wounded. By his pluck and determination, he set a fine example to all ranks." |
