Died in Aircraft Accident, Hampden I P5305, night navigation exercise. On its return, during landing they undershot the runway and crashed in a field next to the airfield at 02:15 hrs.

Attended Sherborne School (School House) September 1926-December 1928. Clerk to the High Court of Justice, Southern Rhodesia. Took his aviators' certificate in a DH60 Gipsy at Eastbourne Flying Club on 16 September 1937.
