Student at Camborne (Cornwall) School of Mines. Volunteered in 1914. Second Lieutenants on probation dated 4th November, 1914. Second Lieutenant to be Lieutenant dated 22nd September, 1915. On Maritzburg College cenotaph. His brother also died in service in WW2
