Cause of Death: |
Died of wounds, received in action in an operation in the vicinity of El Alamein. The Regiment had been tasked to lift an enemy minefield to create a gap for 69 Bde and an Armoured Bde to pass through. Casualties were inflicted by severe MG fire and artillery bombardment. He suffered a traumatic injury to his left leg and died the same day |
