Died in Military Vehicle Accident, Banfield, Goodall, Seddon and Gilmore, were returning to the unit from Shabiah in the unit's staff car, when it left the road and smashed into a shop front in Tehran. The car was completely wrecked and Goodall and Seddon were killed instantly. Gilmore and Banfield were admitted to hospital and operated upon but Gilmore died the same day of a fractured skull and extensive lacerated wounds and fractures to the left side of his face |
